The artist and his body of work
Description: Sherridan "Sam" Smith was born in Houston, Texas. He received his bachelor's degree in Art from Texas A & I University. He has worked steadily as an artist for the past 35 + years. He became an illustrator for Texas Parks and Wildlife in the early '80's, and had an art gallery in Luckenbach, TX from 1980-1988. Sherridan (or "Sam", as friends and family call him) has lived all over the world, and is currently residing in the high desert at the far north end of Los Angeles County, where he and his wife, artist Christina Johns, own and run Angel Peak Gallery and Farm. They have a flock of Navajo-churro sheep, a dog and a llama.

Sherridan Smith - fine collectibles offers Christian jewelry and art with an historic touch. Celtic crosses based on the actual stone Celtic crosses from Ireland, Scotland, Isle of Man, Wales and Cornwall. The "Plus" are items that are original designs or are from other parts of the world,but have influenced Celtic Christianity. It is interesting to me that through out the centuries, Christians have taken the cross - usually a symbol of torture and death - and made beautiful jewelry, displays, paintings, and sculpture. This works because the cross is a symbol of VICTORY for us.
