"Glan" is Gaelic for "clean." A Winddancer goes through a painful and torturous, but liberating, cleansing of the spirit. The winddancer is entering the spiritual plane in the dark back and twists to come out of the plane cleaned, shiny and free. Only the top of the sculpture is shown in the photograph.
